Uncommon Common Sense Seven years after his election to the bankrupt and dysfunctional Duluth School District the books are balanced, the administration is stable, parents have choices, test scores are rising even for our most challenged children and strained Board/employee relations are mending. The Board and the teachers have finalized an agreement to save the seven hour day for one more year! And Harry has been leading the drive, despite his reluctant Board colleagues, for a sensible consolidation of secondary schools. And now the Duluth News Tribune has jumped on Harry's bandwagon to save elementary schools.
