So
said a wag long years ago and today's major political parties do their
best to prove the wag right.
Tuesday, Sept 10, is
Minnesota
's
Primary Election but it will be you
the voters, not God or the political parties, who choose the
candidates for November's General Election.
There
is only one contested race worth writing home about east of Central
Entrance. It's the Republican legislative contest for District 7A. It pits
Harry Welty against the
endorsed Party candidate. Apparently Harry is too independent,
for the 23 Republicans who attended the Party's endorsing convention.
Minnesota
has an open primary. Voters can
choose on the day of the primary which party's primary to vote in. If you
want Harry Welty on the
November ballot you'll have to get out and vote for him on Tuesday the
10th.
Don't depend on Heaven. Go vote for Harry yourself!
